Roquers de Porrera 2010

40 % garnacha, 40% cariñena, 20% cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah.
Annual producción 6.000 bottles. 14,5 % vol.
Intense bigarreau cherry colour marked by deep violet tones around the rim, as a result of its youth.
Very complex and intense aroma. Initially it evokes ripe fruits, surrounded by clear touches of vanilla and cacao. After stirring it a bit, it develops slowly towards flowery notes (violet) and plum jam. All of this combines with the clear mineral and balsamic notes, characteristic of slate soils.
Ample, fatty and oily at its attack. Then it becomes tannic but pleasant. Its tannins are powerful, but also mature, so its passage in mouth is full, velvety and intense. Its good acidity proves a magnificent balance. Long and persistent, it leaves a clear remembrance of plum liqueur. This vine will be improving in the bottle for the coming 10 years.
